I am wondering if they made the same mistake that I made with my 1st two readings. My 1st two readings were 20 points higher than normal!! , then I read the information and realized that the air pump had to be on the same side as the palm of your hand. Tried a 3rd time, ensuring I had the air pump properly located. The next reading was normal. What a break.
When I researched which monitor to get, I debated between the Omron HEM 780 and this one. For whatever reason, the HEM 780 sells more on Amazon. The only benefits I could see, but, were that it had a bigger cuff, a so called Comfit cuff, and saves the last 90 readings rather than the last 60. What sold me on this unit, but, was a feature that the HEM 780 does not have an irregular heart beat display (not mentioned in the description but shown in the PDF of the owner’s manual at omronhealthcare.Com). Since the 9″ 13″ upper arm cuff was good for me, I bought this unit and it is perfect for my needs. The Omron technology is otherwise the same for both units and the cuff on this unit is comfy so no need for the Comfit cuff. If you need a bigger cuff (up to 17″), purchase the HEM 780. If not, save the $12, get the same technology with the added bonus of the irregular heart beat display.

Most are flawed by poor unstable connectors, tubes too short to reach between patient and device, clumsy to wrap, the air supply handle is either too tight or too loose, or electrical cords too short to be practical, etc. I was hesitant, cynical and unwilling to pay this much. (I do not mind so much if it just works!)
Now that the OMRON DLX auto Comfort Cuff was in use for nearly a month, it has proven it is worth!
All the cords/connections are plentiful and stable. The reading is correct and easy to get, one handed. It stays put when placed on the upper arm above the elbow, is comfy and easy to finish the velcro closure. The memory lets comparison over a important time period and is a useful feature.
I have not tried to use it on battery power, but it gets my thumbs up!

I have had three blood pressure cuffs. This one is the best. It stores measurements as well as pulse. Wrist cuffs are a waste of money and can give you inaccurate info. Bicep cuffs are the best. Omron has a good repute among health professionals. A word of caution, you have to use the cuff properly and to generally use it the same way. It’s also vital to take some number of measurements (2 a day) when you’re measuring trends. And you have to average the results for 4 5 days. If you do this you may be able to manage your blood pressure through a mix of drugs, exercise and diet. A good set of records will let you to measure your progress. As an example, if you want to know the benefit of an exercise program (benefit in decreasing BP) you may be able to measure this. The same is true of low sodium diet. This cuff is good and with the AC adapter you may be able to make many meausrements and rely on the consistency of the measurement if not the accuracy. Consistency is vital.Good luck.
